A rare and beautifully preserved piece of turn-of-the-century craftsmanship, this antique miniature chest of drawers dates to the late 19th or early 20th century (circa 1880–1910). Given its diminutive scale, it was originally crafted either as a traveling salesman's sample to showcase master cabinetry work or as an upscale tabletop collector's chest.

The chest features four smoothly operating drawers constructed from dark-stained quartersawn oak, accented by distinctive, lighter inlaid wood borders framing each drawer front. It is outfitted with its original, ornate cast-iron drop-bail pull handles on stylized backplates, perfectly mirroring the Eastlake and late Victorian hardware designs of the era. Unique wooden peg structural supports accent the side panels, adding to its authentic rustic character.
