Some pieces feel grounded the moment you pick them up—this 1940s McCoy Grapevine ewer is one of them. Finished in the classic blended green and brown matte glaze, it reflects the most recognized and beloved colorway of McCoy’s “Rustic Line,” where form, texture, and earth tones come together in quiet harmony. The sculpted grapevine motif wraps naturally around the form, giving the piece movement and depth without excess. It’s substantial without being heavy-handed—designed as a functional vessel, yet equally at home as a display piece in a thoughtfully layered space. Standing approximately 9.25 inches tall, this ewer carries the overlapping “MC” McCoy incised mark on the base, consistent with production from the period. The matte glaze softens the surface, allowing the organic tones to shift subtly in different light—one of the defining qualities collectors appreciate in this line. Whether placed on a shelf, used as a vase, or incorporated into a rustic or vintage-inspired interior, it holds its place with ease—an honest piece of American pottery from a time when even everyday objects were made with intention. Approx. Dimensions: Height: approx. 9-9.25”H x 5.5"W x 4.75"D, resting on a 3.5" base diameter. Condition: In very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
