Produced by the California Glass Insulator Company between the 1912 and 1914, these insulators once lined telephone and telegraph poles across the country — carrying the conversations that connected early America. Crafted in a unique smokey gray / amethyst (purple) glass, this insulator captures light beautifully. Under some conditions it looks grey while others it appears purple.
