A charming miniature Japanese elf/pixie figurine, hand-painted with the wonderfully whimsical character associated with vintage holiday and novelty collectibles. This tiny reclining pixie features a pointed red hat, oversized ears, and a green outfit, with characteristic cold-painted red and green details that give the piece its unmistakable retro kitsch appeal. The relaxed reclining pose adds personality to an already delightfully eccentric little character. Made in Japan, as noted on the base, this diminutive figurine measures less than 2 inches and is an excellent example of the small-scale novelty pieces that make vintage holiday collections so much fun. Its petite size makes it especially appealing to collectors of vintage elves and pixies, Japanese figurines, holiday kitsch, retro Christmas collectibles, and miniature novelty ceramics. A wonderful little character to display among a vintage holiday collection, in a curio cabinet, or anywhere a touch of nostalgic whimsy is welcome.
