Up for sale is a beautiful vintage mid-century mechanical expanding cigarette dispenser box. Crafted from solid wood with charming hand-carved geometric folk patterns across the interior front, this conversational piece features a clever mechanical "accordion" or "scissor" style linkage system. When the lid is opened, the interior tiers automatically lift and fan outward to elegantly present its contents.
The box features dual expanding tiers with individual wooden slots designed to store up to 40 cigarettes. Because vintage cigarette slots are often sized differently than modern king-size variations, this piece also doubles perfectly as a unique desktop organizer for fountain pens, calligraphy tools, art supplies, or small craft materials.
Condition:
Functional Condition: The mechanical pop-up mechanism works smoothly when lifting and closing the lid.
Cosmetic Condition: Good vintage condition with a warm, natural wood patina. Shows minor surface wear consistent with age and light historical use, adding to its authentic retro character. No major cracks or structural damage. (Please review all photos carefully to assess cosmetics for yourself).
