A delightful little treasure from the turn of the century — this antique EAPG novelty child’s (toy-sized) milk glass tea cup was introduced circa 1900 by the distinguished United States Glass Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (operating 1891–1962). Produced during the height of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) popularity, this charming miniature cup was likely made as a child’s tea set piece or novelty tableware item. Its petite size and soft white milk glass glow give it an almost storybook quality — today it makes a wonderful Christmas ornament, tree accent, or display piece in a vintage holiday vignette. Milk glass pieces from this era are especially loved for their creamy opacity and subtle molded detail. This example reflects the craftsmanship of late 19th–early 20th century pressed glass production and carries the unmistakable character of authentic antique glassware.
